Bibliography for Travels in Ireland
Arriving in Ireland we took a taxi to our Dublin hotel - “Will you be renting a car in Dublin?” asked the Taxi driver. “Yes”, I explain how my wife had driven in Dublin previously and she assured me I would have no problems. “You drove in Dublin before?” the Taxi driver expresses amazement to my wife. “Yes", my wife explains, "two years ago I brought my mother over to visit relatives”. “Ah, I remember it well,” says the driver... “Dublin's traffic was tied up for weeks!” Thus, began my families visit to Ireland and my introduction to that famous Irish wit.
New on our other websites:
(links will open in a new window)
Stoke on Trent, England - The first time I visited the Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke on Trent I was a giddy seven-year-old on a school trip.
Traveling with Children in Spain - Spain loves children and the sentiment is almost always reciprocated. It’s a fabulous country for family vacations.
Cider Tasting in Nava, Spain - Streching out from the eastern coast of Asturias to the inland, the Cider Shire with its 570 square kilometres covers a rolling landscape of apple orchards and sandy coves.
Canary Islands Travel Guide (Spain) - Politically part of Spain but geographically belonging to Africa, the Canary Islands have a unique identity. A guide with info on 7 islands.
Tips for Navigating this website:

Note this website is in draft form. I am currently focusing on other projects.

Most of the informational pages (links at top and far left) have brief but useful content. On the pages where I have not been able to get to the written content, I have tried to provide some photos. My goal is to add several layers of additional information for each of the subjects listed.

Helpful information :
Do you know what type of power convert or adaptor plug you will need for Ireland? Have you considered a farm house stay? If you want to know more about staying at an Ireland Bed and Breakfast read over the Ireland B&B FAQ.

With the links to the left I try to answer the question "Why visit Ireland?" while sharing a few of my family's personal experiences on the island. The links at the top of the page are to assist in planning and provide perspectives on traveling in Ireland. Commercial Resources for traveling to and around Ireland are to the right.
