Arriving in Ireland we took a taxi to our Dublin hotel - Will you be renting a car in Dublin? asked the Taxi driver. Yes, I explain how my wife had driven in Dublin previously and she assured me I would have no problems. You drove in Dublin before? the Taxi driver expresses amazement to my wife. Yes", my wife explains, "two years ago I brought my mother over to visit relatives. Ah, I remember it well, says the driver... Dublin's traffic was tied up for weeks! Thus, began my families visit to Ireland and my introduction to that famous Irish wit. |
